About Us
Happy Hounds Pet Resort is a dog kennel created for the purpose of providing dogs with the love, care and support they deserve while their owners are working or away. We are located on 5 acres just outside of Castlegar with lots of room for your pup to run and play. We are within close proximity to a beach and walking trails so there are lots of exercise opportunities that we will engage in throughout the day. We also take each dogs individual needs into account and will work with the owners to ensure appropriate care plans are in place.

Dog Daycare
Fun For Everyone!
Bring your dog by for the chance to play with other dogs and join us on our various daily adventures. Sadly, we cannot accept aggressive dogs. Access to this service is dependent on the number of overnight guests that we have - appointments are required.
$25/day, $225/10 visit pass
Drop off: 8:00am - 10:00am
Pick up: 2:30pm - 5:00pm
Cabin Stays
A unique boarding experience for your pup!
A great alternative to standard dog kennels, these units were created specifically with your dogs in mind. These one of a kind dog cabins are insulated, measure 5.5 x 6' inside, with individual, attached dog runs and are intended to feel a bit like home. Depending on size, multiple dogs from the same home are welcome to stay together. For photos of the cabins check out our Facebook page.
Single Dog: $40/night, $255/week
Two Dogs: $70/night, $460/week
Three Dogs: $100, $660/week
*deposit required
*multiple dogs must be from the same household
Pick up and drop off times can be arranged on an individual basis, but pick up times after 5:00 will be subject to an additional half day charge.
In-Home Stays
A Stress-Free Experience
With in-home stays your dog will be welcomed into our home and temporarily become one of the family. This service is for well behaved dogs that are small to medium in size and non-shedding. A meet-and-greet is required to ensure compatibility.
$50/Night, $320/Week
Two Dogs: $90/night, $600/week

*multiple dogs must be from the same household
